Curious about whether Ardleigh Minerals can help you with recycling?

Give us a call! We'll be happy to arrange a meeting with you. Or, send us a sample of your material. We’ll investigate the material’s recyclability for you. Our process for submitting and receiving samples is below.

Preparing Samples for Submission

Before we can begin recycling your materials, there are a few steps you must take in order for us to determine if what you have is recyclable or not.

For each sample being sent to Ardleigh Minerals, please also send a completed Recyclable Material Profile form and an MSDS or SDS.

  • Recyclable Material Profiles are available here or from an Ardleigh representative.

  • Please complete the Recyclable Material Profile form as it applies to the material in general, not as it applies to the sample being sent.

  • Additional analytical information is not required, but is preferred.

PLEASE COLLECT A REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLE OF EACH MATERIAL YOU WISH TO HAVE EVALUATED BY ARDLEIGH MINERALS, INC.

  • We recommend that samples be at least one pound worth of material.

  • Sample containers should be securely sealed and clearly labeled in zip seal freezer bags for solids or wide-mouth, high-density polyethylene bottles for liquids.

  • When submitting samples of thermal spray, we recommend taking a separate sample from each booth.

SEND SAMPLES & SAMPLE PAPERWORK TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS, UNLESS DIRECTED OTHERWISE:

Sample Receipt and Evaluation

Once your samples are received, each material is entered into our system and given a special Ardleigh Material Code. A quality assurance representative will then issue a receipt to the contact listed on the Recyclable Material Profile.

Next, samples are evaluated and either approved or rejected for recycling. Your company’s contact will then receive an approval letter or a rejection letter depending on our findings.

Proposal for Recycling Services

The quality assurance representative will then send a draft of our Proposal for Recycling Services, which outlines Ardleigh’s terms and conditions. After your contact reviews and approves the draft proposal, they are sent a finalized version to sign.

Shipping to Ardleigh

ONCE THE FINALIZED PROPOSAL IS SIGNED, IT IS THEN FORWARDED TO OUR LOGISTICS MANAGER, WHO WILL REQUEST INFORMATION REGARDING:

  • What materials will be included in the shipment.

  • The packaging, volume, and at least an estimated weight per material.

  • This information must be provided each time you wish to schedule a shipment.

Transportation arrangements can be made by Ardleigh Minerals. Ardleigh will provide shipment information details, including the delivery destination. If you wish to arrange transportation, we do request at least a 48-hour notice prior to each shipment.

COST RECOVERY

Specifically, for thermal spray powder and dust collector fines, the cost recovery depends upon the volume of the material, the components in the material, and the levels of the components in the metal. For example, a material that has 50% nickel content is worth far more than a material that contains 5% nickel.

CONTAINER LABELING

Ardleigh will provide our Dura-Labels for each container prior to shipping the material.

CERTIFICATES OF RECYCLING

A Certificate of Recycling will be issued for each material when the material is fully recycled.
